Just read up on 12 factor Agents
realize framework like @statelyai might be best to implement many practices.
Agents are new, Finite state machine isn't.
You want not only intelligence to figure things out,
but also guardrails for deterministic execution.
Nobody wants to fund apps in crypto if reaching "PMF" means apps need to cater for a niche & speculative audience
Nobody wants to build apps in crypto when everyone else wins by being OG or insider and the only value of your app is a showcase link of infra to pump the token
We're now Top 3 funded project on #Gitcoin OSS DevTools Track!

2cents hacker's pov on web3 hackathons, after 10+ & thanksfully🙏4 finalists, and organized some web2 ones (it's hard)
- It's very easy to tell if you are in the long game building a dev community, or this is your marketing department to ____. There are cheaper ways for PR showcases anyway, hackathon could be a place to turn devs into fans & advocates, alliance that grows with you.
- My ideal hacker exp is getting into flow feel like I'm playing Jazz, improvising and something new works magically. Go to a booth finding not "tech support" but who excited at the design space and jam with me -- make my day.
- Last time i hacked at FB hackathon, Mark Zuckerberg came check on us, he cares. 📣Shout-out to founders of @eas_eth@dynamic_xyz@ensdomains etc who stayed at hackathon booths listening & encouraging builders .
- As a 12yr+ dev somtimes I still spent a day to run hello world for infra x when I could build an app with AI in a few hrs. OK tech is evolving but whether we see an empty booth or a team launching new sdk for you make a huge difference. Show devs working live examples. (Protocol y raising xxM with sdk looking for .env in the browser -- telling all my fds to stay away)
- Judging is hard, you see tons of projects, some are irrelevant and you're likely busy and tired. But devs pitching front of you probably didnt sleep for 30+hr, queued for another 30mins, pushed to make sth barely working and mess up the slides after fixing your sdk and going home without any prizes or attentions.
Often projects won't fit your taste, on an unfamiliar techstack. It's easy to critictize or dismiss, but thank you for your work, appreication & constructive feedback (please) to keep builders in and we don't miss out things that move the space forward.
📣Shoutout to @truckerfling who went back to hack and experience the first person devX, @qc_qizhou giving detailed feedback with care.
- Wow factor matters. Biz models are important. Just projects look like hammer chasing nail for a reason, and expectations are often not aligned/communicated. Probably contravarian, but I think best hackathon project "look like a toy" but push boundary of tech onto solid use cases.
Set aside the "Not invented here sydrome" and don't look for the most "shiny/easy" choice, have craftsmanship triumph showmanship.
📣Shout out to teams who did the hard work putting up clear "Ideas we want to see" and read the code.
- When hackers pull up all-nighters then find the deadline is postponed randomly, having to chase for result & even prizes, 100% reinforced the burnout.
📣Forever grateful @ETHGlobal did amazing job on logistics, strike good balance on pragmatism/ideals, devs get engaged & some cool projects got picked up. @kartiktalwar is legendary to make all parties feel so respected and things substantive. Also kudos @devfolio adding QV to spotlight builders
- "Output of hackathons is not about the code produced, but the connections made" --- @audreytang
We fly 20+hrs to hack @ETHDenver, made it to the finalist🍺!
built SEELE - CMS for autonomous websites fully owned by agents, governed by community
Appreciate best teammate @rikkusan30 &
