I'm a yak pursuing Infinidash Engineer Certification. Proponent of the Oxford comma, *nix, and Juniper (in networks and Gin). Tried stoicism, failed miserably
@Poorsledding It is ironic how much I despise the tech-ification of everyday life considering my line of work means I make my living off of people’s addiction to the very technologies I feel are over-saturating our lives. I wish we, as a society, would just look outwards more often
Really, @Ask_Spectrum??? Planned Maintenance at 11pm??? What kind of carrier performs Planned Maintenance before Midnight? Let me guess… You don’t adhere to industry-norm maintenance window boundaries because that’s too inconvenient for your “team”
#unreliable#unpredictable
@landofthe80s While I want to be practical and say I'd pick the General Lee because it's a heck of a lot easier to repair and maintain, I've got to go with the more maneuverable, comfortable vehicle with a built-in smart-aleck who will keep you awake on a long drive
Just when I figure the last of the old, weird corners of internet like we had in the 90’s are gone, I come across something like this subreddit, dedicated to “making fun of Ea-Nasir, a Sumerian merchant circa 1750 BC, who sold exceptionally shitty copper” https://t.co/enySQjNSwo
@Poorsledding I just hopped on here to wish you a Merry Christmas. I hope you and yours have been doing well and have the most blessed and happiest of Christmas seasons! Take care and be well!
❤️And we're back. We have to believe the attention you folks brought to the issue helped this along. Thank you all so much! We're going to work on uploading some free riffs onto the channel to celebrate. https://t.co/uTLaHyJhoy
Hey @TeamYouTube, how about actually LOOKING at the situation??? @RiffTrax are NO LONGER RELATED to that other channel, and haven't been for quite a long time! #FreeRiffTrax@YouTube
@RiffTrax@RiffTrax if you're able to resolve the copyright strikes that led to the original termination, your channel and the originally-terminated channel will both be restored. but if you think this was a mistake, you can also appeal directly from the email you received (2/2)
@eivanec@LinuxHandbook Googling is like saying to your cubicle neighbor "Hey, Jean, how was it this is done?", whereas using CLI reference tools like 'man' is often spending minutes reading a text that is not well laid out for a specific target use case, even searched. There are times for both
Not even sure I need the million dollars to get me to live there, but certainly wouldn't turn it down. Complete disconnection from the world's addictions and hatred goes beyond appealing to me, it is a goal to be jealous of. Living with nature is hard, but more true
Have no doubt I could do this. I assume I'd be required to garden, hunt/fish, etc and not rely on stores, and I do remember how to do that from training of my youth. I would not miss my technical occupation at all, or connection to society, unfortunately. I just need my wife
@TC_Johnson@JeppsonsMalort I've had a bottle of @JeppsonsMalort sitting on the shelf for several months that I bought on a whim and haven't been adventurous enough to open and try. Now that I see @TC_Johnson is on the Malört train, I think I might open it on the 4th!
My employer hosted one of these systems, but we, unfortunately, shut it down a couple of years ago. It's a sad thing to see these going away, but less and less people call them now that cell phones can tell you the time instantly
