If you ever get the opportunity to, I highly suggest trying an Unlimited/A-Lister pass. There's nothing better than spontaneously walking into a random-ass movie that nobody's heard of. And if it's shit, you don't feel guilty bc you can just see PHM again for free!
to all my trans moots (especially american ones):
-you are loved and appreciated.
-i know it's bad, and it seems to constantly just get worse.
-be careful.
-listen to your gut. do what you need to do.
I’m so done with the “it’s here” argument. “It’s here” is utterly meaningless. You don’t aid and abet widely destructive tech just by virtue of it BEING HERE
To be clear, I don’t just hate GenAI. I also hate golf, war, monoculture farming, clear-cutting forests, and building on floodplains. I love biodiversity, wildlife conservation, regenerative forestry, soil restoration, sustainable farming, and economic degrowth.
i saw one direction at one of their last ever shows (so literally like... height of their demand), they were playing literally 30mins from my house, we got pretty good seats. My dad is still convinced he got ripped off at $100 per ticket.
I miss when concerts were fun and casual and not sign up for a credit card to maybe get number 200k in a presale to buy a $600 upper bowl ticket for a show a year a way on a tour for an album that hasn’t been released don’t forget your $400 hotel room and $500 flight to get there
i just want to remind everyone that the Met Gala’s lead sponsor this year is Amazon, which supports ICE & provides infrastructure that helps target & terrorize our neighbors & communities
Condé Nast & Vogue made Bezos a co-chair in Feb 2026—AFTER the murders of Alex Pretti, Renée Good, Keith Porter, Jr + more
if you attend/support the Gala, this is what you’re supporting…. #metgala2026
@slinehan1@FilmUpdates it’s a romcom with a few serious beats if that makes sense. like, similar tone to red white and royal blue or here we go again by alison cochrun.
