@AutoTheftWPD Also having any window stickers on your vehicle referring to guns in any shape way or form is a really bad idea according to a insurance adjuster

@AutoTheftWPD Absolutely do not leave a loaded weapon or even unloaded weapon in your vehicle. If you know you are going to a place you can not carry it unless you have a good hidden lock box,or leave it at home. Also something I learn from a insurance adjuster it's best that you do not have

Word is getting out about leaving guns in cars! Over June/July we’ve seen a 55% decrease from last year. Last year 47 guns were stolen from cars during that time period, and this year 26 have been stolen. That’s still 26 too many! #dontleavegunsincars

Great job by Patrol South Officers on July 25. Apprehended was an 18 year old male who broke into a vehicle in 1400 bulk of South Lulu and stole a realistic looking air soft rifle. After a brief foot pursuit he was arrested and booked for burglary to auto!

@AutoTheftWPD @WichitaPolice Are people just dumb to leave a gun in a car? I carry a pistol nearly all the time when driving around and have never left a firearm in my car and never ever plan too. I really hope WPD can get some leads to find them and all illegal firearms off the streets.
