#GaryLineker has hit out at #FIFA & #US authorities over "shameful" hurdles imposed on #Iran's players.
#Iran has been subjected to restrictions throughout the competition, forced to base themselves in #Mexico & fly into #US under strict 24-hour match-day mandates.

🚨NEW: @AbdulElSayed responds to Dem powerbrokers saying it’s too dangerous for him to be Dems’ Senate nominee:
“If you’re Chuck Schumer, I’m dangerous. If you’re AIPAC, I’m dangerous. If you’re a corporate PAC, I’m dangerous. If you’re Blue Cross Blue Shield’s CEO, I’m pretty damn dangerous.”
@SudaAmerica
This particularly pisses me off because they do not ask it of the athletes that have freedom to express their opinions without serious repercussions… only the ones under the threat of repressive dictatorships
The IQ test is being able to make decisions & judgments based on observing actions over a period of time.
Since the Fatwa, Iran has not sought to develop a nuclear weapon, but sought enrichment as a deterrent. This is why all 18 IC agencies consistently said that Iran was not developing a nuclear weapon.
The Israelis leaned into the nuclear issue to get us on board with the war and on board with killing the moderate Ayatollah so that we would end up in this exact position when the war became politically unpopular.
Kill the moderates upfront so our negotiations don’t work & so the hardliners actually contemplate getting a nuke.
"The Treatment of Iran’s World Cup Team Exposed the West's and FIFA's Double Standards"
Iran’s captain was asked about LGBT rights. So, why then wasn’t the U.S. team captain asked about the U.S. bombing of the girls' school in Minab, asks @fbhutto ?

Meet the Press host Ryan Nobles exposed Sen. Roger Marshall's BS about "election fraud" and the need for the SAVE America Act, pressing him to provide evidence (Marshall had none) and leaving him stammering when he asked, "Are you trying to solve a problem that doesn't exist?"
Here's the full exchange:
No tiene sentido que apliquen una sanción tan severa como la anulación del gol de último minuto a algo que no es en lo absoluto detectable por el ojo humano. Imposible que el jugador pueda advertir que está en fuera de juego. Dos decisiones que destrozaron la emoción del fútbol.
Derosa: We built the LaGuardia airport, the second avenue subway extension.
Trent: You talk about what you built in New York. You know who built the subway in New York? A company that was owned by NYC. You mention La Guardia. La Guardia was a socialist.
Guys, I’m starting to think killing the ayatollah who issued a fatwa against developing a nuclear weapon that held since 2003 may have been a mistake…..
Funny how some teams get asked about football… and others get asked to explain the world.
Shoutout to the Iran team for carrying that weight.

The "Iran will never be a normal country" narrative has expired long ago.
It expired when Iran fully implemented the JCPOA and abided by every obligation, as the IAEA confirmed in more than fifteen separate reports, only for the first Trump administration to tear up the deal unilaterally and without justification.
It expired when Iran returned to the table in good faith last year, advanced through five rounds of negotiations in Oman, had a sixth round already scheduled, and was then hit with aggression that killed the process.
It expired when Iran tried diplomacy a second time, reached a productive meeting in Geneva, and was preparing technical talks in Vienna just three days later, only to be struck again before those talks could even begin.
It expired when the world saw a full NPT member state with the most intrusive nuclear monitoring regime in history deliver zero evidence of weaponization, while the "nuclear bomb ambitions" line was exposed as the same recycled pretext used to justify endless hostility.
It expired when the entire world watched Iran back resistance movements against occupation and apartheid - positions that most of humanity openly embraced after the genocide in Gaza made the double standards impossible to hide.
Of course Iran will never hand the Strait of Hormuz back to hostile powers that have repeatedly used it as a highway to arm military bases and launch wars whose stated goal was the destruction of its civilians and infrastructure.
Iran is not only a normal country. It is a normal civilization - ancient, sovereign, and done pretending its survival depends on the approval of regimes that have never stopped trying to strangle it.
This is a valid argument. VAR can have 100 FPS, but the player's foot sudden speed can be 10 m/s. Hence the accuracy and the error of the VAR would be 10 and 5 cm. In this photo the offside is 2-4 cm!!! Premier league considers a 5 cm buffer for their system, but FIFA doesn't?!
I haven’t said much about this World Cup, but I’m going to say this:
I never expected anything other than pettiness and bigotry from this administration.
And I definitely never expected anything less than corruption and incompetence from FIFA.
But I did expect basic decency and sportsmanship from the competition.
I have lost every ounce of respect I ever had for players and teams who remained silent in the face of blatant discrimination and unfairness against one participant.
At this point, not a single one of them is worth being called a sportsman, let alone holding the title of world champion.
