@RUGBY_STR_COACH All these kids just want to focus on the fundamentals, they want to spend all their time warming up, doing speed work, and jumping or throwing med balls. They never even rush through any of it to focus on maxing out every day anymore...sad

I see a lot of coaches commenting "Oh, that offense is easy to stop. Just do so-and-so". They average 11 wins/yr. Guess they're just fortunate most coaches in Texas aren't as smart as the ones from Twitter. 🤣
@StrCoachNetwork I do of course agree. However shin angle on squats as the reason for their lack of transfer for sprinting is missing something. They don't correlate because it's gpp for the athlete, like the last slide says...
@TheKurtHester@Guadango During covid we moved our weight room outside and lifted on the field and/or under the bleachers. I think I had a similar understanding of transfer of training.
@ZachDechant Yes. They have very poor work capacity, especially in comparison to even a few years ago. Low days are vital, but not as much for cns fatigue as for tempo and other aerobic work.
Besides Charlie always said low days can still include high intensity as long as volume is very low.
For those who own The Governing Dynamics of the NFL, I've been working with a group of Miami Dolphins skill players on Level 1 and Level 2 low and high intensity field work. Players are so receptive to these ideas. If only coaches were...
