There is only 1 thing in the Creed that LDS doctrine does not agree with. And that is that when God spoke from heaven, Christ was being baptized, and the Holy Ghost descended - that those were 3 different beings that are not the same in substance.
If believing that 3 different beings are 3 different beings somehow makes us no longer "Christian", then I suppose you are right. Instead of being "Christian" we can just be "a group that believes that Christ died for our sins and is the only path to forgiveness of our sins and the single path back to heaven to live with God" - although that's kind of long.
@0v3rw0rk3dm4n@Latterdaytruth So you admit that one can be Christian without the existence of the creed. One must simply acknowledge eternal truths (be they in the creed, the Bible, words of prophets, or discovered by science)?
I agree.
So then in what ways is the Church of Jesus Christ not Christian?
@0v3rw0rk3dm4n@Latterdaytruth 1) Christians are people who believe in that professed in the Nicene creed.
2) Jesus did not believe the Nicene creed (because it was composed after his death).
If both of those are two things are both true, then Jesus cannot be a Christian.
@realfschipani@Latterdaytruth Well, we don't "believe in the holy Catholic Church" and I didn't know what is meant by "the communion of saints", but LDS belief lines up with everything else in there.
@Joe6182@smashbaals@Ch_JesusChrist The "planet full of virgins" thing is something I've never heard before, and I've been a Mormon for 40 years.
But the rest is fairly accurate.
Most Christians believe that "Christian" means you must believe a creed made by fallible priests hundreds of years after Christ's death is more true than the Bible itself.
If you don't, believe that God is a collection of self-contradictory attributes, then you can't be called a Christian.
@omgsidewalks If every billionaire on earth shut their companies down, it would create over 100 million unemployed people.
They don't need you, you need their money.
@amelia_tweetz Saying "I have repeatedly injected myself with an experimental gene therapy because they changed the definition of vaccine so they could call it a vaccine" doesn't say much about your brain function either.
@hashjenni Leave them in America and send all the leftists who are begging for communism or socialism to countries where they actually practice those things.
