The more I study the Biblical text through various teachers and beliefs, I find that a lifetime of study wouldn’t be enough. I once thought of the Bible as a “Christian” book, I couldn’t have been more wrong, it’s bigger than that. It’s kind of like God’s book on life.

• Focused family time (think purposeful weekly meals, no devices)
• Special moments (think, how can I make memories)
• BIG memories (not about expensive things, but extended time together)
• Down time (say no to everyone and everything other than your immediate family) Your kids and spouse will love you 😍

December is the month where I literally feel the weight of time. The feeling that another year is coming to an end, a sense of finality.

I see my kids growing up, I see more wrinkles, I see more grey hairs, I see my humanity.

If I’m being honest, I don’t like it, it’s my least favorite time of the year.

Not in a grinch way, I just feel sad.

Sad that I didn’t do enough with my kids this year. Sad that I wasted time that I’ll never get back.

I absolutely LOVE what Christmas stands for and represents, but on a personal level, I struggle the most.

Going into 2024 know this…

• Boundaries are ok, set them.
• It’s ok to say no, say it more.
• Things don’t have to be the same.
• Cell phones aren’t “instant access” to your time.

Value your time and space even if it makes people upset that they can’t have instant access and “pick your brain”.
