Since 2021, WFP in #Afghanistan has built nearly 100 walls protecting communities from floods, 1,400 water canals and nearly 100 water reservoirs — helping safeguard thousands of families from environmental shocks while improving food production and livelihoods.
Food security is not just about whether enough food is grown. It is also about whether people can afford it. That distinction matters in Afghanistan, where harvests, imports, prices and poverty all shape who eats — and who does not.
