I waited until EXHORIZON was over before sharing this because I wanted to tell the story with a clear mind. This isn't about hate or compensation - it's about accountability, transparency, and awareness.
Everything is political.
Kahit yang pagfafangirl mo or ‘yung KPop, political ‘yan. ‘Yung pag-skip ng mga kpop groups/ solos sa Pinas ay hindi lang dahil trip nila or ayaw nila sa bansa.
hay to all filo k-pop stans out there, i hope you guys are watching the senate and impeachment trials as much as you watch your faves. tignan n’yo kung paano tayo tinatrato ng mga binoboto at iniluluklok natin sa puwesto.
everything is political, kahit sa k-pop. hindi lang ito tungkol sa idols or fanwars. politics affects our education, trabaho, healthcare, rights, at kinabukasan. you can stream your faves and still stay informed at the same time.
and don’t even start with, “eh kung walang concert dito ng faves ko, edi pupunta ako ng ibang bansa.” that’s not even the point. not everyone has the privilege to fly abroad, and people shouldn’t have to leave the country just to access opportunities or experiences. if artists and events keep skipping the philippines, maybe ask why. look at the bigger picture instead of brushing it off.
artists and tour organizers don’t just randomly skip countries. there are many factors they consider—taxes, logistics, venue availability, infrastructure, security, regulations, market conditions, and the overall business environment. government policies can influence those conditions, even if they’re not the only reason. so instead of acting like it’s completely unrelated to politics, maybe look at the bigger picture.
support your idols, but don’t stop paying attention to what’s happening in our country. being a k-pop stan and being politically aware can coexist. hold those in power accountable.
I'll repeat, EVERYTHING IS POLITICAL!!!
K-pop is skipping Manila because of heavy taxes. The PH charges up to a 10%–30% local amusement tax on foreign concerts (vs. just 7% VAT in Thailand). It spikes ticket prices and makes tours too risky for promoters.
Guys, CEBU IS NOT OKAY.
We’re not okay in Cebu.
SPREAD THE WORD!
We’re still flooded. Many lost their homes. Many areas don’t have electricity yet and signal.
Northern Cebu is still recovering, and then here’s another one.
SPREAD THE WORD!
okay first, im happy for the OP for getting hugged by him.
second, why is it allowed to hug audiences when it’s in US UK europe or everywhere but not in SEA? 😂
Everyone here is at fault, including security and even Mingyu. At the very least, he should know his limits and never trust just anyone, especially when a fan offers him alcohol. Drinking something like that, even during an encore, is completely reckless.
kim mingyu i don't know your username in this app. but i really hope you see this since you like to dive in on social media. listen, this is not it. you shouldn't do this. this is very, really, completely wrong. please don't do this again.
SEVENTEEN once said: when the world hurts, don’t be afraid to send an SOS.
Today, our country is sending one, and we, as Filipino fans, will answer.
For truth, for justice, for the Philippines we love. 🇵🇭❤️
