The WH press Secretary made a big deal about 23 arrests made by the 850 federal officers deployed to make DC “safe” from the terrible violent crime that’s making it “worse than Baghdad”. Meanwhile MPD has made an average of 40-50 arrests per day without them. Context matters.

@RepSwalwell If Congress doesn’t exercise it’s authority in the wake of this action, de facto the separation of powers is eliminated. Sadly, the GOP’s unwillingness to even name a possible red line says everything.
