“It Doesn’t Have To Be Crazy At Work” by @jasonfried@dhh is so elegant & bucks so much BS in a way that is just seems common sense. Don’t start a company or manage w/o at least taking in this perspective. So many gems but top one was: no, you don’t have to grow at all cost.
It seems a lot of talk in #DesignOps is about patterns, systems, & tooling. It’s less common to hear talk about the people part of DesignOps. Creating things like onboarding, internships, hiring, training, critiques, review, tracks, structure, evaluation, leveling, growth, etc.
Here are my suggestions on how to talk about the living world with words that engage people, reveal rather than disguise realities, and honour what we seek to protect.
