@NurseStandard Yep, back when I was a HCA it was me & 1 NQnurse looking after 16 patients on a surgical day unit, pre & post-op for 13 hrs. This was in 2014. In the last few years, nurses are regularly expected to care for 9-12 acutely sick patients with no support staff. Horrendous pressure.

@Stu0099 @theRCN The last one-off payment was a loss for a lot of nurses after it bumped them up the pension bracket and the rest plus more was taken in tax and NI! It's not just about you getting a pay boost, it should help everyone. The fact it didn't & won't is why the offer was rejected!
