If you’re ever wondering who is doing the heavy lifting, making sure the mobile kitchen is set up onsite and running smoothly, and keeping track of all of our supplies and ingredients—it’s the Box Truck Boys. They’ve been doing all of this and more in #Sulphur, #Oklahoma! They often do the behind-the-scenes work that doesn't get seen, but today we want to shine a spotlight on them and say THANK YOU for all that they do.

Our ability to maintain the fleet of Mercy Chefs mobile kitchens and equipment would be impossible without our Diesel Mechanic, Ben Vaughan.

After five years as a diesel technician for Mack and Volvo trucks, he met Chef Gary LeBlanc at an outreach event with @HighlandsAL where Ben and his wife often serve. Once he saw this opportunity to combine his skillset with his love for service, he took the leap to join Mercy Chefs!

Amid the countless complications that arise when maintaining the equipment that makes our disaster relief responses self-sustainable, Ben loves his work and is especially thankful for the family he has formed with those he works on deployments. Thanks to Ben and the entire Logistics team, Mercy Chefs will continue to bring hope to the heart of the need. #MeetMercyChefs #MeetTheTeam
