I already filed a complaint with the hotel the moment I walked in, and will be speaking to the manager in the morning. While having my parents change my reservation so they are paying doesn’t harm me, but this situation could easily harm other people.

I told my dad— we have a good relationship, but not everyone does with their parents or others with the same last name. We could have been estranged or I could have a restraining order against you, and the hotel just gave you access to my room.
