Comrade Muwanga Owen, the LC3 Councillor of Nabaziza-Kyengera who was abducted around Lubigi on Friday last week, remains missing for the 8th day running. He was abducted last Friday by armed men travelling in motor vehicle Reg. No. UAL 119V as he returned from attending the public screening of our documentary 'Bobi Wine: The People's President'.
Efforts to find him are yet to yield fruit, as all security facilities our lawyers have been to claim not to have him in their custody. We remain committed to tracing for him, and demand that he be produced before Court if he committed any crime! One day, this oppression will end! #BringBackOurPeople #FreeAllPoliticalPrisoners
Today was a day of joy as we celebrated the graduation of several comrades who have been part of the @NUP_Ug's Institutions League. In the afternoon, we held a luncheon in their honour to congratulate them upon their feat and appreciate them for balancing struggle work with academics. They branded us hooligans and we told them: YES WE ARE PROUD HOOLIGANS.
At a time when the regime is doing everything possible to infiltrate, intimidate, undermine, compromise and eventually take over the arts industry, I want to appreciate in a special way all artistes who continue to stand with the people of Uganda.
I also want to appreciate those who joined us yesterday as we screened our documentary. THANK YOU

After years of frustration in Uganda, our brothers and sisters spend millions of hard-earned shillings to secure jobs abroad, especially in the Middle East. It's sad that instead of their lives being turned around while there, many of them end up suffering abuse like this or even losing their lives. The regime officials supposed to ensure their safety while at those jobs, are in many cases the same people who either run the Recruitment Agencies that put our people in this danger, or shield the Agencies from being held accountable. For as long as we're still under the Museveni regime, anyone who expects the situation to get better is simply mistaken. It will only get worse until WE put an end to it! #BringBackOurPeople #FreeAllPoliticalPrisoners
Woow!!
Honestly, we did not expect this because we never set out to make an award winning film, no!
We just wanted to document our story, a story of the people of Uganda fighting for freedom and democracy.
We are just humbled that our story has received or has come to this level of international recognition. With this award and the attention that comes with it, we believe that we are going to be a little bit safer now because we know that the world is watching what is happening in Uganda.
Ladies and gentlemen, my wife and I are not the real heroes in this film, no.
The true heroes are the hundreds of men, women, and children who have paid the ultimate price in our struggle for freedom in Uganda.
Those that are lying in unmarked graves scattered over the country, the political prisoners, and those that are missing.
Those are the true heroes.
We salute them!!
I want to dedicate this award to my friend and neighbour, John Bosco Kibalama, and dozens of others that were arrested and taken away by the security forces and they've never been seen again.
We honour you, we miss you, and we will never stop demanding for your freedom and return, dead or alive.
Thank you Ladies and Gentlemen.
