The sun was shining for the launch of the @nationaltrust blossom circle at Swindon’s GWR Park today… part of the wider @HistoricEngland and @SwindonCouncil Heritage Action Zone. Pleased to have played our part in revitalising this green oasis 🌳☀️🌳
Really pleased @HistoricEngland was able to play a part in this project. One of five sites in Bristol saved from the #HeritageAtRisk Register for everyone to enjoy!
⛪ St Peter’s Church will reopen to visitors in not too long, thanks to @HistoricEngland@WessexArch and Friends of Castle Park
👷 #Bristol’s first church dates from 1106, stands as a memorial to 1,300 Bristolians killed by the Blitz, and is no longer on the #HeritageAtRisk list
A lifelike bust of the actor, poet and playwright Alfred Fagon by Zimbabwean artist David Matusa, and a rare gravestone marking the life of Joseph Freeman, who liberated himself from enslavement, have been listed 👏
