Today is my first day back as Humble Design CEO. To say I am excited about the future is an understatement. I have taken these last few years to focus on my master's degree and my book. I have learned so much and gained perspective on the important work that Humble Design does.

I spent some time moving my FIL into a memory care facility this week. Here’s what I learned:
Empathy is universal. In your journey you will need to receive it, give it and fight for it. Tread lightly. Close your eyes- try to become the person in front of you. Just for a second.

What problem have you walked by and felt helpless to solve? Sometimes issues feel too overwhelming to tackle. Look for the baby steps- calling a friend, donating 5$, giving a hug or a kind word. It doesn’t always feel like you are changing the world, but you absolutely are.
