Flooding in 2021 affected over 230 schools, mostly in low-lying areas. A total of 102,979 Western Area Urban school children are exposed to flooding.
Western Area Urban accounts for 42% of all children who attend flood-prone schools in Sierra Leone (Fab Inc. & World Bank, 2023).
