Had my very last shift on Ward 12 yesterday as clinical educator. From staff nurse to sister to CPF I owe everything I’ve learnt to Ward 12 and those I’ve worked alongside. An absolutely amazing place to have worked for the last 4 and a half years that I will miss dearly 💖
Today we were able to get all of our HCA’s off the ward for a team day! We used the day to focus on particular areas of learning and team building! Ward 12 would be lost without this dedicated, empathetic, amazing group and how lovely to spend the day celebrating them! ❤️❤️❤️

Pretty cool😀
(Means that patients are no longer dependent on cylinders and that has both cost, environmental and stress implications for staff 🎉)

‘I got cancer during Covid, during the worst of the pandemic. They risked their lives to save mine. And now I feel that I’ve got to show that support back.’
Claire is a patient @TheChristie. She recognises the incredible work nurses do. The government must now show they do too.

Today I’ve been really excited to be able to pilot a team day across our medical CSSS wards. We’ve kicked off the morning with some simulation based practice around emergency situations & management with our wonderful Critical Care Outreach nurse Vicky!
