Only a fool, a wicked one, will dare defend Tinubu’s wickedness and insensitivity. It is such a shameful thing that this guy doesn’t care about this nation. He’s just concerned about looting and looting. Nigeria, Tinubu has dared you to do your worst, he SHALL NOT return in 2027!
A 66 yr old retired Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon was kidnapped about 5 days ago and the kidnappers are demanding for a ransom of 70M
He has being a consultant for over 30 years and has trained multiple generations of surgeons, possibly thousands.
He's not a poor man, but 70 million is a big deal for every family.
The family is currently taking donations and will need to sell valuables like cars, lands and so on to fund the ransom.
He'll probably lose many of the things he has worked all his life for.
But what's stopping another gang from kidnapping him again after they secure his release?
There's even no guarantee that he'll be released even upon paying the ransom.
This is the danger of staying in Nigeria. So many times when people say that Japa is only because of money I laugh.
You can hustle and become very wealthy in Nigeria.
But you can never be safe. I hope he gets home safely. 😓😓😓
Rain is falling, you covered yourself with duvet….enjoying
Remember there are 46 children deep inside the forest somewhere in Oyo state.
The rain is falling on them, no duvet, no clothe to change, just pure suffer.
During housejob, we had a patient, she was in her early 20s. She had colon cancer. Prior to hers, I had never seen a young person with colon CA.
I remember her joking with the surgeon as they applied granulated sugar on her swollen colostomy stoma.
She would sometimes ask why she was the exception to the rule; on other days she is in perfectly high spirits.
I was teary on one of those days when her aged mother said "she has been through worse, we believe better days are ahead." I really hoped that she would witness the better days.
One day, I recieved a call from her father; i thought he was calling me to tell me they were around for chemotherapy, but instead, he told me that she had passed on.
I didn't know how to feel.
I just remembered her again today and it reminded me that cancer is indeed a bitch!
This will irritate your religious sensibilities but it is the truth. If prayers could fix Nigeria, we would have been the greatest nation in the world. The more we’ve prayed, the worse things have gotten.
This is because miracles don’t fix nations, righteous systems do.
Prayer is easy. Righteousness is where the work is. And it is righteousness that exalts a nation, not prayers. The righteousness mentioned in Proverbs 14:34 is צְדָקָ֥ה Tzedakah. It means a deep commitment to fairness, treating people right and justice. It speaks to a system that ensures things are done right.
We love to pray but not turn from our wicked ways. The equation MUST be complete. 2Chronicles 7:14
Righteous action is what validates our prayers. Prayers CANNOT fix Nigeria.
Demand a better leadership, protest for justice, fix the right people into systems. Repentance is what we need! A change of orientation from selfishness and greed!
VIDEO: Principal of the abducted school children in Oyo begs for help as she says they have been under the sun and rain for the past 2 weeks.
This is incredibly sad that citizens are having to beg for help while the APC government threatens to arrest people for cybercrime.
There’s honestly nothing that compares to getting an offer from an international company 🌍😭
After everything…
They sent a relocation company to pack all my belongings from Germany 🇩🇪,
Paid for my flight to the Netherlands 🇳🇱,
And the relocation bonus was more than enough for me to fly to Nigeria 🇳🇬 and do my wedding 😭😭
Omo… I’ll never forget what that opportunity did for me.
Not just a job…
A complete life upgrade!!
Welcome home Reid, Victor, Christina, and Jeremy! 🫶
The Artemis II astronauts have splashed down at 8:07pm ET (0007 UTC April 11), bringing their historic 10-day mission around the Moon to an end.
I got a message from my consultant thanking for taking care of his patients since I resumed the unit.
Residency is generally tough but I have enjoyed psychosocial support in this unit.
In other words #choosepsychiatry.
