The accusation that I am antisemitic is appalling and fundamentally dishonest. Criticizing the actions of the Israeli prime minister, a military technology contract, or the executives who supply it is not the same as criticizing Jewish people. This critical and necessary dialogue is then dishonestly framed as being anti-Israel. To be clear, my views come from my own political convictions and should never be interpreted as hostility toward Jewish people, for whom I have deep love and respect. Everything I know about acting, activism, and humanism has been profoundly shaped by the Jewish friends, colleagues, and loved ones who have been integral and family throughout every point of my life.
This merger has real consequences for real people, and for the entire country. Scrutinizing the Ellisons, including Oracle’s business built on data, surveillance technology and government contracts, and the serious threat to editorial freedom and the loss of a livelihood for thousands of families, is fair and necessary. The $111 billion deal would hand one family control over CNN, HBO and Warner Bros., backed in part by foreign money whose influence on editorial decisions has never been fully explained to the public.
Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle have called for serious national security review, and regulators still haven’t given the public a real answer. Until they do, the merger shouldn’t move forward. Now is the time to dive boldly into all these issues, not step back or concede.
A seismic political shift just happened in Minnesota.
Peggy Flanagan defeated Angie Craig for the DFL nomination for U.S. Senate, and she did it decisively.
She did it without an endorsement from Gov. Tim Walz, her governing partner for two terms.
His wife, Gwen Walz, endorsed Craig.
Sen. Amy Klobuchar also declined to directly endorse Flanagan, even while saying she supported the DFL-endorsed ticket.
And Flanagan still won big.
There is a lesson here for Democrats who spend so much time trying to please every side that voters struggle to understand what they actually stand for.
You can take a clear position. You can challenge powerful interests. You can run on your values without sanding down every edge.
And you can win.
Peggy Flanagan just proved that in one of the biggest Democratic primaries Minnesota has seen in decades.
BREAKING: US Representative Ilhan Omar has won the Democratic primary for Minnesota’s 5th Congressional District, securing more than 80% of the vote.
Omar ran without support from AIPAC.

Meet the senior staff running Mitch McConnell's DC office. You pay their salaries. You're entitled to know what they're keeping from us.
Let them know how you feel.
Senator Mitch McConnell has now been hospitalized for three weeks. The gravity of this situation cannot be overstated, especially given that his wife, Elaine Chao, appeared in China just days after his hospitalization to meet with high-ranking Chinese officials. The question now is about national security: if Senator McConnell has been unable to independently perform his duties, what safeguards exist to ensure classified intelligence briefings, defense appropriations information, or other sensitive congressional matters could not be accessed, discussed, or shared by individuals operating behind the scenes? And given the timing of Chao’s meeting with China’s vice president, what exactly was discussed?
DO NOT STOP TALKING ABOUT THE EPSTEIN FILES.
Does anyone else notice that no matter how many folks are posting about the Epstein files, it never trends on X?
@DSMSIX@PopBase Same!!! I was almost annoyed at the band when they started playing the exit music, because I wasn’t ready to be done applauding such an incredible performance and achievement!!
The Reflecting Pool arrests by Park Police should terrify everyone. The federal government is fabricating accusations out of thin air simply to protect one man from his own embarrassing failure.
There is no sabotage. This is insane.
Bro I'm so sick of pretending this isn't weird.
The internet spent 20 years creating tutorials, open-source projects, blog posts & answers for free.
AI companies turned all of it into products worth billions.
And now the same people who created that knowledge are being told they're replaceable.
We built the library.
Someone else started charging admission.
Even after Renee Good and Alex Pretti were murdered by ICE, Angie Craig said she still didn’t regret her Laken Riley Act vote.
It wasn’t until she realized it might cost her the election that she decided she regretted it.
Angie shouldn’t represent Minnesota in the US Senate.
I sometimes feel we've REALLY lost our perspective lately because $112 billion in net profit in a year is an INSANE amount of money, yet Apple is saying it's forced to increase prices on consumers. We should just be so much angrier about all of this.
