@HealthierLonger@MelissaLantsman A big part of this issue is the utter lack of communication. Our family was stuck in Cancun for 5 days and were never once contacted by Sunwing with a plan B. We finally flew home with another airline.
Current @SunwingVacay situation: No flights. Stranded in Cancun. 4+ days. No reps have answers. Families kicked out of hotel rooms even though @SunwingVacay promised they “extended stays” due to cancellations. Babies sleeping on floors on Xmas. Canada embassy closed for holiday.
Hundreds of Canadians are stranded in Cancún, Mexico and don’t know how they’ll get home after their Sunwing flights were cancelled last week.

Sunwing Airlines is misleading public to avoid paying compensations owed to passengers.
Sunwing must pay compensation within 30 days of receipt of request. It is the law: APPR, s. 19(4).

@lengepa @SunwingVacay It’s very frustrating I’m sorry you are going through this. We were supposed to be home Dec21. we are now being told maybe Dec28
@SunwingVacay my family is supposed to leave in less than an hour for the airport to take flight WG 435 from Punta Cana to MTL. Email, text, and phone call confirm it is cancelled but local rep can't do anything because it is not in their system.
