What makes Gourdya’s Great Ape/Oozaru form different from standard Saiyans?

Unlike a typical Saiyan Great Ape, Gourdya’s Oozaru form gradually evolved alongside her own body and mind. In her childhood, it possessed the same towering, heavily masculine build seen in most Saiyans, driven almost entirely by raw instinct. However, Gourdya’s unique adaptive Saiyan physiology caused something unprecedented over years of growth. As her physical body became stronger and her psychological understanding of her primal nature deepened, the ancient Oozaru template within her cells slowly began reshaping itself around the identity of its host.

Rather than remaining a separate beast that she sought to dominate, Gourdya chose to understand and eventually embrace her primal instincts as an inseparable part of herself. That acceptance subtly altered the form itself. While still unmistakably a colossal, savage Great Ape, its proportions gradually reflected aspects of Gourdya’s own physique—most notably a more feminine silhouette, powerful hips and legs, and musculature that resembled her natural body instead of the uniform build shared by most Oozaru. It was no longer simply an Oozaru; it had become Gourdya’s Oozaru, a physical expression of the unity between warrior and beast.

That same evolution eventually extended to her biology. Over time, her exceptionally adaptive Saiyan cells allowed her tail to develop the ability to generate its own Blutz Waves through her ki network. By consciously amplifying this energy, Gourdya can transform into both her Great Ape and Golden Great Ape forms without requiring a full moon. However, overwhelming concentrations of external Blutz Waves can still overload even her evolved physiology, as demonstrated during her first uncontrolled Golden Great Ape transformation.

Following that experience, Gourdya continued refining both her mind and body until she could enter the Golden Great Ape state with complete awareness. The primal instincts of the Oozaru never disappeared—they still heightened her aggression, hunting instincts, and desire for battle—but they no longer overwhelmed her personality. Instead of chaining the beast into submission, she learned to fight beside it. The Great Ape became less a monster she transformed into and more an ancient part of herself that she finally accepted.

For that reason, Gourdya often enjoys fighting in her Great Ape forms, especially against enormous opponents capable of matching her colossal size. To her, becoming an Oozaru is not a loss of humanity or reason—it is simply another expression of who she has always been: a Saiyan whose greatest strength came not from suppressing her primal nature, but from evolving alongside it until the two became one.
