@StockJunkiee@magnifico_lr@BillAckman@MIT Errr you called her a terrorist for starters? Secondly, Neri lifted a few definitions from an online resource. Claudine failed to cite other people’s specific work, ideas & papers. Qualitatively that’s a massive difference. Third, the % volume of indiscretions is much lower.
@IrvineWelsh I agree he’s a crackpot, and a nasty one at that, but I also agree that Iran is the biggest threat to peace in the Middle East, and them developing nuclear capability would be very destabilising.
@keithboykin I think you should read some of the more intelligent critiques of her work. Both the quality and quantity of her research is barely deserving of non Ivy League tenure. Then there is the questionable and hypocritical judgement calls she has made throughout her career.
@BillAckman@Harvard Harvard are digging their own grave. Her position is untenable for a number of reasons; plagiarism, Enos, Fryer conduct, and now antisemitism. What this move indicated is that the rot is instituting wide, rather than person specific. It also demonstrates a gross lack of wisdom.
@mike_mmcdonald Your blogs are one of my favourite things about living on Planet Arsenal. That and listening to @clivepafc offering his sage and compassionately incisive thoughts
@MsDayglo@MarinaPurkiss It’s not about flaking out. It’s about being somewhat overwhelmed by the depth and breadth of challenges and the inevitable imperfect mess of every conceivable position. It is a geopolitical Gordian knot with devastating humanitarian consequences
@ramzpaul That’s a bit dramatic isn’t it? This far it’s about 5% of US defence budget to completely hobble one of your superpower rivals. It’s of the soundest geopolitical investments of the last 100 years…
@HassanAfc7@Stillmanator Hey Hassan, I agree that westerners need to take great care with the expectation that others live up to their moral values. However, if we were putting people in prison for being black, I assume people from other cultures would also have something to say about that…?
@stuartb16@LeGrove@Peterhoest@Stillmanator Im confused. Pedro was in no way condoning the persecution of people, he was simply limelighting a potential flaw in the semantic assignations of the discussion. As far as I can tell he is merely attempting to provide some rigour, surely that should be welcomed?
