RIP, our beloved Sydney Craft Beer Week. @themarkofme
SCBW started to help the small flourish but arguably became fodder for the global brewers. NSW’s war on shit beer is winning but the focus now needs to move to new targeted areas https://t.co/g0L84HUeNC
Aussie brewers are getting in on tapping the sun to save costs and to be healthy planet lovers. Nice work @moondogbrewing and Fimer Australia. https://t.co/u5CXcvWvpk Nice video starring the Moondog team and their gorgeous brewery.
Fond memories of having this beer in San Diego many years ago. @AleSmithBrewing Speedway Stout. Still an amazing beer. So silky. Like a timtam coffee slam.
So great to see @hawkersbeer from Victoria win the best IPA award for their West Coast IPA at the Australian International Beer Awards. They’ve come a long way and with a lot of hard work their lineup is first class. Well done! The West Coast IPA is liquid pleasure.
@dannbrew It would be worse if there was not a growing array of amazing brews to be found across the state. The impact as a result of the years of the week has been great but still sad to see so many people’s effort dissipate. Hopefully someone will resurrect it soon.
Fruit goodness. Lusciously yum, refreshing NEIPA on a hot summer day! All the tropical fruits you can shove into a confined space without breaking OH&S laws. From Deep Creek in NZ.
Canned last week, @hawkersbeer IIPA as fresh as. Big beer - nice oily mouthfeel with loads of marmalade, lime and mandarin. Punchy bitter finish and balanced boozey warmth. For 9.0% this is a top notch brew
Ok, @fareaustralia. Problem is not “alcohol”, it is that idiots also drink it. My dinner is more likely to kill than my beer. Misleading - beer tax is already indexed yrly. https://t.co/FoLwqv7huA
Normally in Oz we find the regular @StoneBrewing beers aren’t worth the price premium to local beers but this special Tangerine Express IPA is outstanding. The savoury fan’s fruit beer.
@foleybrewing Am most upset about the sale of @FeralBrewing though. Australia needed a Sierra Nevada and they could have been it. Set the industry back 10 years. For people that preached against big brewers they’re going to burn in beer hell now.
WTF? “Pirate Life's brand is premised on a carefree and relaxed attitude and the ability to create great beers. This approach can only be enhanced with a new brewery, access to ingredients and shared knowledge from other AB InBev brewers”
Can someone point us to a list of all sold out breweries over the past 2 years? ABInbev must be enjoying getting the firing squad ready. Watch those recipes wither and die under the financial microscope of corporate accountants
@BeaumontDrinks @PirateLifeBeer In the game for 2 minutes, gone in a second. This year has been such a sad reversal of all the positive independent growth of prior years. I guess they’re all now investing in Bitcoin instead of making great beer :)
