If I were $mrna with this much demand at $185B, I would sell $40b worth of stock. ~20% dilution. Concurrently, issue a press release that they are going to use the $ to solve all of biology (like $eqrx). Stock will prob trade up, sets a floor to equity, and huge optionality.
BREAKING: Situational Awareness, the hedge fund of ex-OpenAI employee Leopold Aschenbrenner, is being forced to unwind all public stock positions after steep losses
The fund exited all of their public investments through one trade with another major hedge fund, with prime brokers like BofA, Goldman and JPMorgan working with the fund as it sought to meet margin requirements
@two_natural FYI you are confusing patent exclusivity with regulatory exclusivity. Patents are always 20 years (subject to adjustments), the 5 & 12 years is fda imposed regulatory exclusivity.
@Kennydoesbio I want to like the story (and it was a compelling presentation), but how much credibility can you really give a mgmt team that 9 months ago was ready to rug pull and become a crypto stock…..
my next VIC Pitch: Viasat is deeply undervalued. Peer satellite companies are trading at over 100x revenue vs Viasat at ~2x. If you split the difference and conservatively assign it a 50x revenue multiple, then it should rerate to $500B.
Damodaran: “based on recent FCF & reasonable projections I calculated the intrinsic value of spacex to be between $5-$15B at a 9% wacc”*
Musk: “my cost of capital is 0 and we are taking over the $30T TAM”
*I don’t know if he actually has a view spacex, this is obviously a joke
For as ridiculous as RC is in this interview, Andrew and Becky seem to have a fundamental lack of understanding on how issuing stock in a deal works. Andrew is saying it can only be capped at GME's $11B market cap? No, the EBAY holders will just become the majority owners of GME.
Here's the most contentious part of Ryan Cohen's CNBC Squawk Box interview about the GameStop-EBAY acquisition.
This is a HEATED back and forth, uncommon for financial news. $GME
Sorkin, at one point is in disbelief at RC's repetitive answering to his question.
Biotech/pharma want regulatory flexibility from the FDA & then do shit like this - it’s gotta go both ways. They were able to enroll the pivotal in 18 months, but it’s taking 5 years to enroll 21 (of 300) for the PAS? Bad look for Amgen/industry.

@plainyogurt21@Sanctuary_Bio@TheBiotechBear and, really, did all funds just change their compliance rules in 2023? Or was there new sec regulation or something? heck, Ackman pumps on here every quarter end.
