With @DawnButlerBrent being ejected from the Commons for telling the truth and calling @BorisJohnson a liar it seems like an appropriate day to repost this: "Imagine if Boris Johnson were a black woman." https://t.co/xEMW1K8F8Q
This sums up where our politics is.
You can lie. You can cheat. You can put millions at risk and in danger.
But God forbid you break one of our archaic House of Commons customs. Shout out to @DawnButlerBrent for standing up and saying what needs to be said.
The PM is a liar.
I have been thrown out of Parliament for saying what we all know:
Boris Johnson has lied to the House of Commons and the country over and over again.
But Iโve got news for the Tories, I will never stop speaking truth to power!
'We get in trouble in this House for calling out the lies, rather than for lying.' Spot on. Johnson lies repeatedly and Parliament expels those who tell the truth about it
Please report on this @CNN@CNNI@MSNBC@CBSNews@CBSNLive
The UK Parliament is broken. Lies can be told by the Prime Minister but anyone saying so gets expelled for telling the truth. ๐
. @DawnButlerBrent has just redefined honour, courage & integrity for a new generation. Her selfless action & courage today will have restored the faith of millions in a broken political system. I am in awe of her
White Female Speaker is annoyed that Black Female MP is telling the truth against White Male Prime Minister just like many other white people have done repeatedly. There is freedom of speech (but not if you're a black woman) #racism#sexism#UKPolitics#UKdictatorship
@Unluckster @MsFrauG@avaltd@d_spiegel itโs 10% effective- they stopped using Oxford vaccine in South Africa and have spare doses to send back. You can google it, itโs been widely reported by mainstream media
@nickodonovan@d_spiegel@adamboultonSKY heโs politically biased otherwise he wouldnโt be so excited for such a small, barely noticeable effect. Look at the Israel charts, youโll see a huge gap without any need of poisson regression that we can only dream of in the u.k.
@nickodonovan@d_spiegel@adamboultonSKY iโve read all his articles in the Guardian and in one he said we should have a 12-week gap for the pfizer vaccine because we have no evidence that itโs bad ?!?hello we have evidence of 95% effectiveness w/ a 3-week gap so whatโs the need to take a leap in the dark and waste jabs?
@Indrroy@jburnmurdoch@IndependentSage@ChrisGiles_@newscientist I'll check the dataset for Scotland later but I'm puzzled that the same data for England looks very different and I'm eagerly waiting for the study released today by PHS to be peer reviewed because the tables weren't clear to me at all
@jburnmurdoch Yes, except if the UK vaccination strategy is not effective (and so far there isn't any evidence that it is) the easing of restrictions when we have 12k cases per day will give us another winter peak in the spring...
@jburnmurdoch I'm sorry but the trial inconclusiveness you refer to was rooted in low statistical significance (e.g. Oxford had a total of 2 cases of >65 in the trial data). In this real life "experiment" we have 100s of 1000s of cases...
