hongjoong explaining why the golden hour series is them experimenting with sounds they’ve never done before and saying maybe after it’s done they can might go back to the world, treasure, pirate king vibes
@hongjongmann@prnc_Mingi Many people initially claimed that short songs aren’t inherently flawed, but it’s clear now that both the runtime and mismatched style are the real issues.
@bhodduck This song just repeats a single phrase nonstop, leaving the lead vocalist with zero room to showcase their talent. We need to put an end to these overly short tracks made solely for TikTok trends
@cest_AZ When the track length preview was released at first, many people wouldn’t allow any criticism. Are we still not allowed to point out the flaws now? This is exactly the downside of an overly short song.
@prnc_Mingi Yet many people won’t let anyone bring this up, insisting that a short track doesn’t equal a flop. But given this song’s structure and the terrible vocal line distribution, I personally think it’s underwhelming, and I don’t like it at all
@prnc_Mingi It’s true that the monotonous, repetitive structure of the song leaves almost no vocal segments for Jongho to showcase his skills, and it’s also a fact that such an overly short track can barely earn high average scores.
@EvgeniaOle86542@bhodduck Is there any benefit to you driving someone away just because you dislike their taste? Everyone has their own aesthetic standards. Is there anything wrong with not liking a certain style
@bhodduck I have to say I really dislike this comeback’s songs. Starting with the overly short track lengths, my disappointment only grew after the previews dropped. The title track just feels like it’s repeating the same phrase over and over.
@0Ella_allE0 I’ve sent numerous emails to KQ regarding sasaeng issues, yet the company has taken no action and never released any official announcements. 😔
@likeasatoru Can’t we simply prefer not to listen to overly short songs as a personal choice?Of course, I probably won’t listen to this song often if I don’t like it, but that doesn’t mean I’m acting like an anti-fan in any way.☺️
@likeasatoru Yes, they were originally known for high-quality songs. However, the prevalent trend of overly short tracks in the industry is really problematic. It’s clearly wrong for the company to follow this unhealthy trend. We’re merely pointing out the issue without any extreme behavior.
@seaforests This unhealthy trend plagues the industry, and I hope it fades away soon. They must have finalized this track long in advance; it was probably just an experimental attempt. The other non-title tracks still have proper full lengths, so we can just wait for their next comeback.
@KeyCachaceiro@matzhood Every agency is the same; nearly all groups tailor their music for short-form video platforms instead of catering to fans' preferences.
@furytoodamnlate Nearly all K-pop fans are questioning these shortened songs, yet every group keeps going down this route. I can’t figure out why labels are so fixated on this formula.
