COVID surges throughout the year, and other viruses, pollution, wildfire smoke etc. are also significant health issues.

It is ALWAYS appropriate to wear a mask.

Banning masks has nothing to do with preventing crime. Japan has one of the lowest crime rates in the world, and everyone there wears a mask regularly.

one of the greatest lessons i’ve learned in organizing is to not blame people for being surprised when they find out how bad the world is, even when it hits them late in life. not people who feign ignorance, but people who are truly surprised
