Currently the Hekatomnid tomb is not accessible and from the outside I could not make out the verse inscription of Hyssaldomos. But I assume that the archaeological development of the site is still ongoing and in the future the renewed museum will also show more. 6/6
One site I was particularly looking forward to during my tour of Asia Minor is Milas (Mylasa), the ancient capital of Caria, a nice city in the southwest that is still inhabited today. Everywhere, despite the dense settlement, ancient remains can be found. 1/
The fantastic finds at the site of Uzunyuva have already been the subject of great publications, such as Marek/Zingg 2018 or Isik 2019, and more are to follow - I am curious. 5/
