Pretty much the only thing I tweet. My birthday gift to myself getting stronger every year. Thanks again @tednaiman@jerryteixeira for the inspiration! Consistency is key!
45 today πͺπ»
I was happy with effort last year at 43 but Iβm happier today on my 44th birthday with my 3 real pull ups from a full hang. Thanks again @jerryteixeira@tednaiman for the continued inspo!
@jerryteixeira Sorry for your loss JT. How you remain so level through adversity inspires me. You are one of maybe two people I come back to Twitter for. The remainder I find a bit angry and depressing. Thank you.
@xeno_ka @JoeDoesNews Autoimmune disease, cancers, neurological conditions, Diabetes, high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, obesity. Yes a good proportion of the Australian population, not just very unwell people.
@gpmc86@FionaNewton77@Brett_McLeod@LiberalAus Agree and yet in the US people are afraid of mRNA vaccines because of mis information and fear. They too are not getting the vaccine and have three to choose from.
@FatEmperor Ivor please stop. Australia is not Ireland or Europe. Victoria or NSW is not the whole of Australia. Commenting without local knowledge based on what you see only in the media without context makes you look just as uneducated as the masses you mock.
@jhnhellstrom Two different approaches. Will be interesting to see the overall deaths in Aus if we can suppress long enough for vax to be helpful. Also have lived a relatively normal life in most states of Australia. Low deaths but no immunity. Itβs a gamble either way.
@johnandresini@tednaiman https://t.co/1447xQJTSx Iβm in Australia. There is an ebook as well. There wasnβt a hard copy option when I first read it.
Why we are fat and why the diet wars are a stupid waste of time: a thread with graphs
We eat too much sugar, too many carbs, too much fat, and way too much highly processed food. It all ads up to gross overconsumption, period.
But, the highly processed food is the driver
Unfortunately for many people, plant foods can exacerbate and even precipitate autoimmune disease. Fortunately I was able to work together with this young lady and help her avoid a life of immune suppressing drugs.
In August 2020, a young vegetarian was hospitalised with an inflammatory arthritis, unable to walk.
Over the next few months, we changed her diet. Her CRP went from 73.8 to <0.4. She is now off all drugs. In the last 4 months, she has lost a further 9% fat and gained 3% muscle.
