🇧🇿 Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Edinburgh concluded her visit to Belize today after a cordial and impactful engagement. She arrived this afternoon at the Price Barracks Military Base, where she was received by H.E. Amalia Mai, CEO in the MFAFT, and Local Brigadier General Antony Velasquez, Acting Commander of the Belize Defence Force.

🇧🇿 Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Edinburgh visits the San Antonio Women’s Cooperative in San Antonio, Cayo, where she is received by Ms. Timotea Mesh, Manager of the Cooperative, and its members.

Her Royal Highness learns about the Cooperative’s work in empowering women through traditional crafts and entrepreneurship, views a pottery-making demonstration and art exhibition, and experiences traditional Maya food preparation.

🇧🇿 | Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Edinburgh today visited the Belize Council for the Visually Impaired (BCVI), where she was greeted by Mrs. Joan Musa, Executive President, and Mrs. Carla Ayres Musa, Executive Director.

Her Royal Highness had the opportunity to learn about BCVI’s national impact and was given a tour of the facility, including its diagnostic, eye care, and rehabilitation centres. She also met students and rehabilitation officers demonstrating Braille instruction and adaptive technology.
