First Assistant U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli said in an X post that his office is working with Harmeet Dhillon, the Department of Justice's assistant attorney general for the Civil Rights Division, "to conduct a comprehensive audit of California's voter rolls."

This week on Straight to the Point, I sat down with Chris Farrell, Director of Investigations and Research at @JudicialWatch for an in-depth interview on the watchdog's new Freedom of Information Act lawsuit against the DOJ/FBI,CIA, DoD, Homeland Security and ODNI for Directed Energy Weapon (DEW) records including the reported purchase of a device by Homeland Security Investigations.

Farrell says the intelligence agencies are “stonewalling” the release of information related to Judicial Watch’s February 2026 FOIA requests that followed our team's exclusive investigations with DEW attack survivors. Farrell argues their non-response, combined with years of reported gaslighting of injured government employees and civilians could reveal a coordinated effort to conceal the facts of directed energy weapon attacks – also known as Havana Syndrome or Anomalous Health Incidents (AHIs) - including questions about foreign technology and why some government personnel may have been deployed to the same high-risk locations.

Farrell told us that DNI Tulsi Gabbard and the White House have the discretionary authority to release the records immediately without waiting for litigation.

An ODNI Spokesperson said “As DNI Gabbard told Chairman Crawford during the Annual Threat Assessment hearing in March, she believes the Biden-era ICA[Intelligent Community Assessment] on AHIs should be retracted.”

Asked if Gabbard would release reports before she leaves, an ODNI official said “She is actively working to declassify information about the COVID-19 pandemic and Anomalous Health Incidents before June 30.”

Asked about alleged CIA spying on Gabbard’s investigative team, an ODNI official said, “We have confirmed that the Intelligence Community Inspector General is aware of the allegations and is working, alongside ODNI and interagency partners, to uncover the truth about any potential wrongdoing.”

A CIA official said the agency “has been and will continue to be supportive of any IG investigation into past conduct by the CIA on this issue.”

The CIA official disputed allegations that the agency had frustrated the investigation by DNI Gabbard’s team: "CIA worked to provide the DIG with access to information responsive to the Executive Orders prior to its disbandment by the DNI.”

On AHIs or Havana Syndrome, the CIA official said the CIA Director “...has been clear, including in sworn testimony before Congress, that CIA defers to ODNI leading an interagency analytic review of AHIs.”

Actor James Handy, 81, Dead After Brutal Stabbing in California

Veteran actor James Handy, known for roles in Jumanji, Top Gun: Maverick, and The Verdict, was stabbed multiple times in the chest outside a home in Los Angeles County.

He was found unconscious and rushed to the hospital, where he later passed away.

Authorities say the suspect is his son’s girlfriend’s son, who called 911 stating, “I just killed the man of sin.” The suspect has been arrested.

California Democrats are preparing to ban essentially ALL after market tires

This is a real proposal from the California Energy Commission called the Replacement Tire Efficiency Program

“I mean pretty much every aftermarket tire sold in the state is going to be regulated, and no one is talking about it — Tires use energy, some more than others, and California wants to lower the energy use of tires on their vehicles so less CO2 goes into the atmosphere”

It’s for climate change….

I looked into what their plan is

It would require all replacement and aftermarket tires sold in California to meet strict low rolling resistance standards similar to those on new cars (OEM tires)

Tires that don’t meet the targets phased in starting 2028, with stricter rules in 2031 could not be legally sold in the state

OEM tires on new cars are optimized for low rolling resistance (better fuel economy/lower emissions), but this often means shallower tread depth, shorter lifespan, and sometimes reduced grip

Many popular aftermarket tires (especially performance, all-season, or longer-lasting ones) have higher rolling resistance for better handling, durability, or traction. So they will be banned

Here’s what it really means for every day people

Lower rolling resistance leads to more frequent tire replacements, increasing production emissions and costs

It does the exact opposite of what Democrats are saying. It’s a proposal that’s being prepared to be passed

So why here?

Vacant, large buildings like old hospitals are ideal for realistic military urban operations training and practicing building assaults, room clearing, hostage rescue scenarios, without endangering civilians

Similar drills have happened in other California cities like Los Angeles and Long Beach in past years

This is standard preparedness training for potential real-world deployments. No live ammunition is being used
