@Travtothefuture@repblumenauer I would never discourage anyone from buying American wine (like ours!), but the reality is that the tariffs on European wine have already caused Americans to lose their jobs, and many more will if these taxes on US businesses are extended to other EU wines and/or increased ...
@jamcm@repblumenauer Yes, more appealing in price, but we depend on the same national distribution network to get our wines to market as the imports ... so it doesn't matter if our wines are more competitive if half of our distributors go out of business in 6 months because of these tariffs ...
@stadler@repblumenauer Whitney is right ... OR wineries like ours depend on the same national distribution network as imported wines ... half of these companies could be out of business within 6 months if the 100% tariff goes into effect ... it would be devastating to US wineries
