@stumpyuk@InspGadgetBlogs This is Twitter. I’m not reading your mini-essay. If you can’t explain yourself concisely you shouldn’t be on this platform. “Minutiae”? I’ve explained why the police statements were misleading over and over again. If they weren’t then why do you think they’re so controversial?
@Sassafrass_84 So you want men to sacrifice their lives for you because you have a vagina, and you’ll shame them as un-masculine if they don’t want to? Nice.
@stumpyuk@InspGadgetBlogs Like I said before it was misleading in context. They could just have as easily said “There is still no information to suggest that this ISN’T a terrorism related incident”. But they didn’t. They shouldn’t have said either.
@stumpyuk@InspGadgetBlogs I already told you that what the police said was technically true but unnecessary, unhelpful and misleading in context. I have an explanation for why they did it anyway. You don’t. And it doesn’t require scheming with the government.
@stumpyuk@InspGadgetBlogs Everyone with common sense knows why. It was to manage public reaction to the murder for political reasons. But that’s not the police’s job.
@stumpyuk@InspGadgetBlogs Not just my standards. It’s obvious many people feel the way I do. You didn’t answer these questions: Why did they say it all? Why didn’t they just say “We’re still determining the motive”?
@stumpyuk@InspGadgetBlogs How is saying “there is still no information to suggest that this is a terrorism related incident” reasonable when they didn’t know the motive?
