My OnePlus 15 camera kept crashing and rebooting the phone.
An evening with Claude Code: it built an ADB diagnostic tool, pulled the kernel log, and found OnePlus's own watchdog timer killing the camera HAL.
Sensors are fine. I'd have paid for a camera module I don't need.
@visjevangen@Ljosmyndun Are you happy with it so far? I've seen a lot of ads for them but thought they seemed a little bit too good to be true, especially with the price
@MylanPiron@visjevangen What is your impressions of the Anker Solix Max AC? I've been looking at it for a while and have been very close to pulling the trigger multiple times
@BraedendotTECH My experience is exactly the same. The other week I just had to take a few days off to not stare at terminals and let my brain rest. However, always having a lot of ideas to build but not knowing how to code, I feel like I have a superpower now
@MilksandMatcha Super cool! How would the measurements of both the clothing and person work with this concept? How would you tackle this? I'm trying to figure this out for one of my own projects
The Netherlands’ unrealized capital gains tax does not apply to real estate.
As a result, investors are incentivized to shift capital from financial markets into income properties.
This puts additional upward pressure on housing prices.
The Dutch government has managed to screw the rich and the poor simultaneously.
@anthony_ward@AlexfromBabylon They implemented this in Norway a few years back so the Netherlands could have already taken a look at what the outcome was there. Which was the obvious, wealthy people and investors left leaving the tax bill to be picked up by the middle class
@LeighGanschow@fryktligefrank@AndrThie We will probably at that time see news articles about unethical working conditions and robot cruelty from the major news outlets.
@chamath Norway implemented this in 2022 resulting in the same effect. According to recent data, about 25% of the wealthiest 400 has emigrated. Norway then countered with a more strict exit tax, making exiting more costly but also killed the willingness to innovate and create value/wealth
I observed an American tourist trying to rent a bicycle in Copenhagen yesterday
"Where is your cycling permit?" a clerk rightfully asked
The American obnoxiously laughed
"A what?"
"Your municipal cycling authorization"
"Cycling in Copenhagen requires a 2-day safety course"
The American started turning red
The clerk calmly offered him a walking map instead
"This is the safe option for someone like you"
The American loudly screamed in a very strange redneck accent
"Fuck off bro I have Google Maps"
The clerk went quiet, and a woman locking her bike outside looked through the window in shock
"Sir, Google Maps is an American product"
"Their walking routes are not approved by the European Commission"
The American stormed out from the shop
The clerk turned to me
"Last month a tourist using Google Maps cycled into a pedestrian-only zone"
I shook my head in disbelief
"Those Americans, they never learn"
