@ryanmckeen Represented a company at the state gambling commission to maintain its e-something-or-other license. Had those bureaucrats singing Atlantic City, “hanging on by the skin of [their] teeth,” by the time I was through with ‘em.
@RacketMN Jay, thanks for this piece! My mom and dad opened Kwan's in March '82 and soon after discovered they were pregnant with me. After selling in Dec. '95 to Min and Jian to open a place in E.P., we kids longed for the days we'd ditch out on dish duty to run down to Minnehaha Creek.
@BryantMckinnie@Vikings The only downside is that it isn’t close to your old faves at Red Moon Chinese Cafe in Eden Prairie. But my dad retired in May 2020— though, I’m sure he’d cook privately for his old friends 🤩
@KathrynFrankson Experiment. Fail. Learn. It’s the @ericries way I’m trying to teach my law students tonight—Minimum Viable [Marketing] Product. I just need to do more as I say, we all do 🥳
Police reform and recruitment idea: @MinneapolisPD attracts new officers with comp package including living stipend so long as the officer lives in their beat neighborhood - @LaTrishaVetaw thoughts?
@KathrynFrankson You’ve crossed the Rubicon, my dear—and now must consider that your former audience of one may simply now be divided in two. How will you handle it?! 😉
@ryanmckeen@onepeloton@MattWilpers Ryan I'm with you -- I know I need to re-test and lower my FTP based on my last year and sluggish performance. But I'm too proud to do it. We'll get stronger together again!
@ByLizSawyer This practice has some history -- I was paid $20 per article starting in 1998 to write Minnesota Youth News pieces as a high school student. I wish the @StarTribune would bring it back -- it launched me from humble east Bloomington kid to where I hope to go someday :-)
