This morning, UN Resident Coordinator @DirkWagenerUN welcomed @bencambier, the European Investment Bank's Resident Representative to the Pacific, to his office. The European Investment Bank (@EIB), the lending arm of the EU, is a key supporter of the UN and its Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). They discussed the EIB's global and Pacific engagement with the UN, identifying areas for enhanced collaboration in sustainable development, such as water, renewable energy, and transport.

Today, on #EuropeDay, the European Union celebrates the historic 'Schuman declaration' which set Europe on a path of peace & prosperity. Ode to Joy will be performed around the world to mark the historic day - also in the Pacific.
