@Skuamato@xTacio_ Go in with one first and if it's Switcheroo, go in with the second afterwards. In some cases this won't work even though moving in both would have worked but this usually should work if moving in both and getting one swapped would have. And it's free against Bedeviling.
@Gorgonner6@sanson_ganbaru It's even worse if you don't know some of the words. As a non-native speaker, "bough" is not a word I'm familiar with and it completely broke my ability to figure out where the next word starts. I imagine typos also create a similar issue.
@UmPlayerRu87294@Doowan_ No. This used to be possible a fair while ago but under the current rules, the discard is a cost for the triggered ability (identified by the "to" in "discard 1 and exhaust me to ...") and needs to be paid when finalizing it, before anything can resolve.
@barczeek@sokos13_ Yes, even more than at RQs (which ofc makes complete sense given that the main event will be way smaller). The Nation Clash even goes across two days and the winner gets a unique promo, so it might as well be a main event.
@StevenWillcox2@LSXYZ9_TCG I mean, it kind of literally is made for them, Riot purposefully banned Stacked Deck now so that it's in time for the Korean release
@AntonioMar37996@Doowan_ This is for the scenario where I'm playing a counter to something else already on the chain. That can always use the discount if timed correctly, regardless of whether Kharox plays something before or afterwards.
@JuiceGGEZ@Doowan_ Yes, but that doesn't yet mean the discount is active. Tornado Warrior getting played triggers Heron and when that trigger resolves, the next card after that point is discounted. The opponent can just Star-Cross Kharox in reaction to the Heron trigger, before it discounts
@JuiceGGEZ@Doowan_ Heron's discount is a trigger, so it's not live immediately. If the opponent reacts to the trigger, you can't counter it discounted.
And you can't play an action between triggers. You can only play an action once all the triggers and Kharox stuff resolved.
@Doowan_ It doesn't even matter what Tornado Warrior does and how you order the triggers or whether Kharox plays something before or after the Heron trigger. Heron discounts the next card after the trigger resolved, so as long as you react immediately after it resolved, it will work
@Doowan_ To counter something already on the chain, just react immediately after the Heron trigger resolved. Tornado Warrior resolves instantly and triggers Heron and once it triggered Heron doesn't need to be on the board anymore, so Star-Crossed can't stop it
@Ryan_Nyterra Yeah, the rules actually very specifically changed a few sets ago to make sure things like Assault are still active for Sunken Temple since it confused people that it wasn't. But I guess now we have a case where people get confused the other way around lol
@BardyGG@THRiOlol@Silv4nn It would still solve/improve slow play. Turns don't help with judge calls either. And it would likely still shorten the overall time and give a predictable time at which the last games with time extensions end. But there's also still the alternative of double losses on timeout
@clutchnuggett@BardyGG That's not a solution, why even play a TCG at that point. A digital client is a nice alternative but holding tournaments exclusively via that defeats the whole point of playing physical game and is way less fun to people interested in that.
@MarkDizon@BardyGG This is probably the smallest issue, chess tournaments also manage this just fine. And for a start, people can just use an app on their phones or bring their own chess clock. It could just be optional, if you want to play with one to avoid slow play, you need to bring one.
@Doowan_@GoricaLoL How would you even declare it simultaneously π Especially if the choice is more complex and each player selects multiple units. But even with one unit, it's questionable.
