An OG embracing the future of the business is inevitable and welcome.
We must adapt or risk obsolescence.
Audiences want to connect emotionally with great stories told by great storytellers.
This requires careful human oversight because only humans have true taste.
Resistance is futile.
Martin Scorsese is backing an AI company to “push the bounds of creativity to create deeper and richer experiences for audiences.” He is using the technology for storyboarding purposes.
"I’m interested in the intersection of technology and storytelling, and seeing how that can push the bounds of creativity to create deeper and richer experiences for audiences. Cinema is a young medium, only around 125 years old, so we have to be open to how it can evolve. I utilized 3D with ‘Hugo’ and de-aging technology for ‘The Irishman.’ Now, with this tool, I can share what I’m visualizing more clearly and efficiently to my creative team — the production designer, art designer, and cinematographer — for them to build on to enrich cinematic intelligence."

Loving all the box office discussions of late. BACKROOMS and OBSESSION crushing all comers.
One side note that still feels under appreciated:
THE WIZARD OF OZ has generated an additional $370M in box office from a single venue since its launch at The Sphere.
What a feat for a movie from the 1930s.
Long live the movies.
OBSESSION has hit $104M domestically and 148M at the global box office as of Sunday, nearly 200x its $750K budget.
It’s now on track for a $300M+ total worldwide, the highest-grossing sub-million budget film in over 53 years, since Bruce Lee’s ENTER THE DRAGON.
