1/5 Just submitted our hack--Podcaster--for the @elevenlabs hackathon organized by @lablabai ! We were inspired by @wondercraft_ai 's keynote about launching their MVP in 3 days and wanted to see how many of their features we could hack on PromptSpace in that time.
Damus will be removed from the app store in 14 days, apple says zaps are not allowed on their platform because they *could* be used by content creators to sell digital content. This is right before we’re about to give our talk at the oslo freedom forum on how decentralized social networks with lightning integration are bringing financial freedom to the masses... pretty sus… 😕
This would be a watershed moment: If people can’t transact freely p2p on their platform, this has huge implications for the entire ecosystem of apps with lightning integration and v4v.
Met with a CTO today who spent $x00k trying to make AnonCreds v1 (aca-py) work. The lack of scalability crippled their product, they had to throw it all away.
Nobody likes saying these things publicly, so we're left with just unsubstantiated marketing claims. Tis a shame, we really would all be better off with a bit more transparency.
@by_caballero@csuwildcat @sivavaid @elonmusk Doing great here in San Francisco county for 15 years! Have had a lot of familiy visit lately and say "Wow it's so nice here, not like what I saw on {cableNews} or {corporateSocialMedia}!"
Be charitable to very judgement people who are direct realists about perception.
From their point of view they aren't being judgemental. No, rather, the bad qualities of others are simply being "revealed" to them directly.
It's not evident that those judgments are in fact contingent on background philosophical assumptions, specific cultural norm, and their personal traumas. It _really_ feels like something they're perceiving directly.
It's not a very pleasant way to be! But also it's hard to undo, and even with philosophical insight and good will can take years to get better.
yup. this is why open source models and open source in general is not an intrinsically liberatory strategy. building on a corporate ecosystem is just doing free labor for them
