I honestly can’t wrap my head around it - how have we gone through this entire transfer window without signing a single centre-back? Now both Emre Can and Schlotterbeck are injured. Absolute madness. @BVB #madness

🚨 BREAKING: Kyle Walker has asked to leave Manchester City.

“Two days ago, Kyle asked to explore the options to play abroad and end his career”, says Pep Guardiola.

Loads of people are quick to point their fingers at Sahin, clamoring that his dismissal would magically restore the club to its 2011-2012 glory days. But they fail to see the deeper, more insidious problem: systemic rot seeping from the top down, eroding the very foundation of the club.

The squad isn't good enough — plain and simple. Squad building has been nothing short of catastrophic. For years, we've endured a steady decline into sporting mediocrity. Integral squad gaps go unaddressed, past seasons are whitewashed with hollow optimism, and fan concerns are brushed aside as if they don’t matter.

The club's obsession with hiring based on nepotism and “Stallgeruch” rather than genuine meritocracy is a slow-acting poison. Everybody likes to mention how Sahin was a nepotistic hire, but so were Kehl, Ricken, and Mislintat. Such a club can't afford to be run like a family business where connections outweigh competence. We can't be happy just competing for Top 4 every season.

And yet, despite this flawed system, when was the last time we had a coach with as many tactical ideas and structural frameworks as Sahin? He’s not perfect, but he’s ambitious, adaptable, and modern — qualities we’ve been starved of for far too long. He's been hamstrung by an inadequate squad, yet he’s still improved players like Nmecha, Adeyemi, Gittens, and Bensebaini. Imagine what he could achieve with a club willing to match his vision.

It was painfully obvious we needed a fullback after last season, yet our best response was signing a 33-year-old central midfielder who can occasionally fill the role. How can we possibly expect this to lead to success? We have almost no depth going into one of our longest seasons, yet the higher-ups cling to the absurd belief that buying players who can cover multiple positions will somehow fix it. It’s asinine — it just shifts the problem elsewhere.

We can’t afford to live in the past, pretending nostalgia will save us. Change has to start from the top, or we'll be stuck in this cycle forever.

What number is Guirassy gonna have in Dortmund? Somebody who knows? @BVB

[Emilia Bengtsdotter @bengtsdotter]

You know it is a bad design when even the players can’t make it look good @pumafootball

[PUMA Football @pumafootball]

A mashup of classic designs, ready to write the next chapter ⚫️🟡 @BVB

This kit is like when a kid in kindergarten cut out pictures from a magazine and just cut all the pictures together…so fucking unimaginative
@BVB @PUMA

[Jobe @JobeSZN]

Unpopular opinion: I think the new cup kit isn't even that bad...

[Emilia Bengtsdotter @bengtsdotter]

Don’t sign him now and sign him in January window if he is healthy then we don’t need another Haller situation ☺️

[BVB Newsblog @bvbnewsblog]

🚨 The BVB doctors assume that Serhou Guirassy will be out for between 4 weeks and 3 months! He would therefore miss the pre-season. Both Borussia Dortmund and VfB Stuttgart see the deal as jeopardised.

I’ve tried to like England this tournament but I’ve seen 3 of their games and fell asleep in two of them… now they are in the finals and I really hope Spain will beat them 5-0 🫣
