Rinse and repeat across all 74 Special Economic Zones and 12 Freeports, secondary legislation means zero Parliamentary or public scrutiny on the private sector. This was the plan all along, deregulated SEZs carve-out entire regions of a country with their own private laws separate from the host country. This is what Brexit is really all about, and this experiment in corporate governance was a Tory initiative that is full backed by Labour MPs, Mayors, councillors, Lords, and Baronesses who were board members of Sunak and Truss's nationwide Freeports/SEZs consortia.
The UK is being privatised, zone fever has arrived.

A huge victory for democracy
3.6 million hours of sewage dumped in 2023 alone, £72.8bn paid in dividends, up to 25% of all water supplied leaked due to cracked, broken pipework, one of the biggest polluters in the country, London running out of water, bills up 60%.

Do you ever wonder why, to get what almost everyone wants, you have to fight almost everyone in power?
Here's part of the answer: our politics do not belong only to us. Offshore oligarchs have been allowed to capture them.
This week's column explains how

I can no longer contain my rage at this - millions of children are living in poverty, destitution & using food banks & all the LEVELING UP SECRETARY is asked about is how we can deport more migrants!
If you share my rage RT this widely. I make absolutely no excuses for my anger
