Today is Genesis. I’m trying to earn my place.

The Standard Reserve launches today, and I’m putting my hand up: I want a Genesis WL. 🧑‍🚀

The more I look at @standard_rsv, the more I want to be part of the opening chapter. The Charters, the auctions and the Reserve’s whole identity have given me plenty to get excited about.

The mint page says selection considers onchain activity and meaningful contributions through replies, quote posts and DMs. That’s a reason to bring your perspective into the conversation if you’re interested in joining.

Read the launch thread. Find the part of the design that grabs you. Explain it in your own words, make a visual, or ask a question that helps other people understand it too.

There’s room for useful contributions from people who look at the same project differently. I’d love to see more NFT people, artists and protocol enthusiasts share what stands out to them about The Standard Reserve.

That’s what I’m doing with these posts: putting my enthusiasm out there and hoping to earn a place in Genesis along the way.

Why The Standard Reserve feels different to me 🧑‍🚀

The detail that made me stop scrolling through @standard_rsv: Genesis Charters start soulbound.

That means no ordinary secondary NFT resale market for those Charters at launch. Transfers may be enabled later, but Genesis begins with non-transferable Charters.

That changes how I look at the mint. I’m thinking about what the Charter lets me do inside the protocol and how I’d want to participate.

A Charter starts with one branch and can grow to ten. Branches share in STANDARD issuance. Expanding requires branch licences purchased with STANDARD, and that payment is burned.

Then come the auctions—and there are two distinct things to understand.

After the 0.15 ETH whitelist mint, remaining Genesis Charters enter a public descending auction. That is an opportunity to enter Genesis.

Separately, the team has announced 100 branch licences for auction when trading opens. Those let existing Charter holders expand their participation.

Soulbound Charters, branch expansion, auctions and token issuance: that combination is what makes this launch interesting to me. There are mechanics to explore and choices that continue after mint day.

I’m excited to see how participants approach those choices and what kind of community develops around them.

Why I’m hyped for The Standard Reserve tomorrow 🧑‍🚀

I’ve got my eyes on @standard_rsv for September 14, and I’m seriously hoping to make it into Genesis.

After years around NFTs, I still love finding a launch that makes me want to get involved from the first day. The Standard Reserve has that effect on me.

The Genesis Charter is a big part of it. It gives its holder a role inside the protocol through branches that participate in STANDARD issuance. There’s a system to explore and decisions to make as it develops.

I’m also excited by how the launch is being put together. The team says Genesis mint proceeds will fund initial liquidity and protocol vaults. I like seeing a clear connection between the mint and the system it helps launch.

And yes, the visual identity has absolutely got me. The architecture, the atmosphere, the whole Reserve theme—it gives Genesis a presence of its own.

I want to see those first Charters activated, the branch auctions open, and the community start figuring things out together. That first-day energy is something I still enjoy enormously in this space.

I’m still chasing a WL spot myself. This is a launch I’d love to experience from the beginning.
