So in KG 1, my daughter won most creative pupil ; I was proud of her. I mean it’s kg 1 and hey! My baby got awarded! Wawu!!!
In KG 2, she won best in creative arts and best hand writing and my reaction, even though I didn’t say it to her was “people are winning best in numeracy , phonics , your own is creative arts”. I was not happy , I won’t lie!
I made her repeat KG 2 for personal reasons and at the end of the academic year , she won the same two awards again!
Grade 1 came and she still won best in creative arts and best handwriting awards. In my head , I was like sey people that are winning best in Matjs , English and other subjects have 2 heads???? Ewo ni handwriting and creative arts ??🙄🙄
On Wednesday, we had the yearly award programme which I was invited for again and I honestly hoped she won something “major” and not creative arts but she won best in creative arts again in Grade 2!!!! …The moment her name was called , I clapped so loud for the first time! I decided to appreciate the genius I have . My future Picasso!!!! My creative girl!!!!
I felt so bad that I’ve looked down on the awards she got for years because it’s not Maths, English or the social sciences subjects. Her consistency of winning the same award for 5 years didn’t matter to me! I just wanted the “main” subjects like our parents 😩😩😩
That has changed anyways! I’m going to support the creative genius I have in my house with everything I have! I’ll register here for art school (Oh! She loves drawing so much!) and help her strengthen her skill!
Lauryn is soooo artistic! Drop anything here and she has made something out of it! Her brain and hands are blessed when it comes to creativity!!! I was looking for something else instead of celebrating my baby’s strength.🥹
Dear mummies and daddies , everyone can’t be maths geniuses! Some of our kids are blessed with other gifts! Let’s appreciate and celebrate them! ❤️
When I see these numbers, I just laugh because all this does is “de-market” education.
I know an informal sector where employees are being paid in 7 figures.
- Head of Finance
- CFA, ACCA or ICAN is compulsory
- Must have indepth knowledge and understanding of tax and finance
Salary - N300k net monthly
God will punish some recruiters.
Recruitment can be a funny old thing here in Nigeria. You can put an advert out for an executive assistant and, because you are paying well above market rate, you will get people who really have no business being executive assistants applying for the role. You have a degree in Statisticd and you’ve worked as a statistician for a number of years—why would you then want to be an executive assistant to a lawyer?
This is what economists and labour-market specialists describe as occupational mismatch or professional downgrading. People are educated and may even have specialised training, but there are not enough properly paid jobs that use those qualifications. They therefore move into roles below, outside or unrelated to their training because those roles offer better income or greater stability.
It’s really unfortunate.
Was asking my mum one day on what she thinks about the transportation business and all, she said to never even give it a thought talk more of considering and she tried to remind me of a time she was involved and the aftermath of it (couldn’t vividly remember), but according to
Kola Karim, the founder of Shoreline Energy, reveals one of his worst decisions in business.
In 1995, when he was exporting agricultural products to Morocco and Portugal, he bought 30 trucks so he could own the logistics and make more money.
The drivers of the trucks ruined the business and he had to sell all the trucks.
He ended up outsourcing the logistics to a logistics company
Unrelated but old nollywood hits different because they weren’t trying to copy Western filmmaking they just reflected our society as it was, no need to overdo it.
I understand the effect that the economy has on us looking good, but going for quality will always save you money in the long run.
A 2x of the average price of a blend wig can get you a good quality hair, plus quality wigs can be really cost effective.
Sometime last year, I reintegrated blend hairs into my hair business because I factored in purchasing power and affordability.
I did sell some, but I couldn’t bare watching my customers struggle whenever they wanted to utilize the product.
It felt unfair.
I’m just going to break the silence to say that everyone needs to return to 100% human hair wigs. I know the prices got wild at some point but synthetic/blends are an awful waste of money and no amount of innovation will make them durable. They’re only good for exactly 1.3 weeks.
My friend uses breath spray when we’re out and we just asked the couple next to us if it’s bush and they’re saying it is. I’m glad. She needed to hear it from someone else outside of me.
