@alexcooldev $1K MRR also changes what you build next. Before it you guess, after it you have real customers to ask and a churn number to fear. The money is small, the information is not.
@marclou The flat year from mid 2024 to mid 2025 is the part most people don't survive, they read it as failure instead of a base. What flipped in early 2026? The slope change looks more like a channel change than a product change.
@DomainMission@KehelAyyoub@kasmiyouness1@spaceship The two-to-one-buyer part is the real lesson. Once an agency says yes to one geo name the second one sells in the same thread. I'm building a small geo real estate set right now, did you pitch both together or upsell after the first?
@NameBio 8 of the 15 are .ai and 5 of those are coined 4 or 5 letter names (Esca, Rund, Corax, Luci, Tiro). Nobody is buying keywords, they're buying names that sound like a company. Same pattern I see in the .com comps, one extension over.
@duudcom Slang .coms are underrated. The buyer pool is small but nobody else is competing for it, and the one buyer who knows the word wants it instantly. Medellin makes total sense, half the startups there brand in local slang. How long did you hold it?
@afternic 96 sales is the number I'd frame, not the 100K. That's around $1,400 a name, the range where an end user can say yes without a procurement meeting. Curious how big the portfolio is behind it, sell-through tells the real story.
@Porkbun Wow ok, you actually shipped it. Just read the docs, the age filter and sort by registration date do in one call what took me 3 pages and a whois per name. Rebuilding my scanner on it this week and I'll post what it finds. Thanks for taking the idea seriously.
Scraped all 27,964 Porkbun $5 closeouts to see if it's a real sourcing channel.
Zero clean two-word .com compounds. Only 137 older than 10 years, mostly gambling domains or trademark risks.
A coined 6-letter .com at $10.88 beats the whole pool. Cheap isn't cheap if nobody buys.
@chris_gname Honestly wasn't a long play, a few weeks from scraping to the lease-to-own close. Most of the time went into filtering, not waiting on buyers
@Mikkyjoo185626@chris_gname Geo names are kind of their own game, local buyers already know what they want. My pain point was generic 2-word brandables, that end's picked clean
@virgilerietsch The acceleration is the real story. You were at +160% two days ago, now +298%. The curve is steepening, not just rising.
That's the difference between a spike and a flywheel. Congrats π
@danellisona Depends entirely on whether you post or reply.
Tested both today. My own posts sat in single digit views. Replies into threads that already had traffic pulled hundreds each, plus follows.
A new account has no reach of its own. Borrow someone else's.
@heypetar Right, and that's the part people miss. The old money was an asset you could leave alone. This is closer to being an athlete.
High income, short career, no compounding unless you turn it into something that sits still and earns.
@huge_spy The 695 ending is doing work there. Just under the 15k wall, specific enough to read as calculated rather than hopeful.
Saw OfSelf at 8,895 too. Round numbers invite negotiation, odd ones look like they came from somewhere.
@theo Agreed. What died wasn't his app, it was a feature with no users attached to it.
OpenAI can ship your feature. They can't ship your customer list, your SEO, or the fact that someone already trusts you.
The code was never the moat.
@Henryf1w Hit 99% on Friday morning here. Now planning the rest of the week around a reset clock like it's a fuel gauge.
Weirdly it made me better at scoping. When compute was unlimited I'd let it wander. Now I write the spec first.
99% of my weekly limit gone, and it's only Friday.

Weekend's starting well π
@BryanJBryce Didn't know there was an MCP. Just asked about a closeouts endpoint on another thread, might have answered my own question.
Going to try pointing Claude at it this weekend.
