If countering WYSIATI means hunting for hidden gaps in our stories, how might building quick checklists to spot missing info change the way we handle daily choices—like budgeting for family needs or evaluating a marketing campaign—and what ripple effects could that have on our work-life balance over time?

We often jump to conclusions based on incomplete info, leading to overconfidence. What you see is all there is (WYSIATI) tricks our minds into prioritizing coherent stories over full facts, causing errors in everything from investments to relationships. It's a subtle trap: our brains optimize for quick sense-making, ignoring what's absent. #ThinkingFastAndSlow
Make it a habit: Before finalizing judgments, list out unknowns and seek them out. This framework, drawn from Kahneman's work, empowers you to break free from overconfidence, leading to better outcomes without overcomplicating your process.
It's straightforward but transformative for clearer thinking.
The answer is AI prompt engineering.
Becoming a MASTER prompter is going to unlock more personal and professional results than any other skill you can focus on.
Retweet if you agree!
Who agrees that it would be cool to get some quantified self data to help drive action?
It would look at performance in these five buckets and help guide interventions, i.e. "is it better to bring up a weak pillar or go deeper into one of the five?"
The most important step toward robust mental & physical health is when we realize that no single protocol, program supplement or Rx* is alone going to solve it & we instead initiate a series of *daily actions toward persistent wellbeing*. Those actions are (& always will be): 1) sleep, 2) viewing sunlight (even through clouds), 3) movement (cardio & resistance & mobility training; not necessarily all on the same day), 4) quality nutrition (content, amount timing), 5) social connection, including connection to self.
From there, the list expands, of course, based on individual needs, preferences, disposable income, etc. but the above 5 form a robust and reliable foundation.
*some people require Rx medication support of course. That does not erase the need for the basic 5 behaviors.
@hubermanlab Every time I try to optimize one dimension too much, I come back to these wise words. You can always improve the fundamentals and they will serve you best.
5. Build out promising themes (generally relevant queries with high impressions or low-click, high CTR queries) into their own ad groups with a tighter keyword > ad > landing page relationship.
4. Drop it in its own campaign to meter budget allocation. In this campaign, the ad group was given preferential delivery and cannibalized campaign budget.
