It’s really insane how fast obesity rates have grown in the US. Tripled in a single generation. The mainstream approach to diet and exercise is incredibly broken. https://t.co/ftwULtuBuk
“In many ways what we’re doing with cultivated beef is electrifying the cow.”
Great piece in Fast Company covering the publication of an LCA comparing the @eatscifi burger with conventional beef—reducing emissions by almost 90% https://t.co/d5JDv0UvgS

all the debate about leverage in crypto was just to distract us from real estate leverage
at least in crypto leverage wipes itself out periodically rather than building for decades and collapsing in a systemically massive way
@Facebook community standards remain a joke.
A page that fraudulently impersonates another organisation and comments on their posts ASKING FOR MONEY and they won’t take it down.

@StarlingBank bans crypto accounts for my “safety”. What is next? Donations to causes they disapprove of? Countries? My money. My decision. Demonstration of the fact money in the bank is NOT actually YOUR money. #BreakUpWithYourBank

“Transfers may also be declined if you’re trying to send money to an unsupported merchant such as a cryptocurrency exchange.”
:,(
@CoinDesk@StarlingBank @Dan_Z_Palmer Of course I can get money into Binance other ways, but the principle of being able to send my money wherever I want has been violated. @StarlingBank support refused to allow the transfer. Are there any banks in the UK that won’t do this?
@DaCryptoAthlete@CoinDesk@StarlingBank @Dan_Z_Palmer This happened to me. I called Starling and they confirmed blocking payments to known crypto merchants. They refused to let the payment go through
UK banks that don’t restrict what you can do with your own money..?
@StarlingBank support confirmed they have unilaterally blocked payments to “crypto merchants” as a “business decision” to “protect customers from financial crime”.

@IainCyto @linuxtoday Windows users can get by without needing a terminal text editor. So can mac users. Why is this a necessary hurdle for linux users? Genuine question. I’m a long term linux user.
