A new chapter of support for justice-involved Veterans began today in Fargo.
The East Central Judicial District Veterans Treatment Court celebrated its ceremonial opening, bringing together the judiciary, community partners, and Fargo VA. The court focuses on treatment, accountability, mentorship, and recovery, helping Veterans address challenges such as mental health concerns, substance use, housing instability, and service-related trauma.
The Fargo VA's Veterans Justice Outreach team will play a key role in connecting Veterans to health care, housing, benefits, and other critical resources.
Together, we're helping Veterans find pathways to stability, recovery, and success.

Trump's claim that the endangerment finding has no basis in law is ludicrous. The Supreme Court directed the Environmental Protection Agency to determine whether greenhouse gases endanger public health and welfare. The endangerment finding is the result. https://t.co/UFxpernNlD
NEW: Last week, @SpeakerJohnson outlined his theological defense of Trump's immigration policies, saying he would "have this lengthy debate with anybody any time they want to.”
Speaking an @RNS podcast, Rev. William Barber offered to take him up on that. https://t.co/a2yxFXgvM0
No oil has entered Cuba since December, when the US imposed a total oil blockade on the island.
The United States is terrorizing, suffocating, and starving Cuba because it provides hope for the world.
End the blockade NOW.
Quote from the letter:
When we forget that every human being is created in the image of God – body and soul united, destined for communion – we begin to see one another not as brothers and sisters, but as obstacles and threats.

Last night’s racist post wasn’t just petty—it was morally twisted. Sadly, it reflects a career that has consistently trafficked in racist tropes and profited from racial animus. That same heart shapes policy decisions.
This is NOT a bug of the administration; it’s a feature.
@SenBlumenthal She does not make her story about herself, her disability, brain injury, autism, or being assaulted. Remember Empathy helps to see others not as bodies, but people bearing God’s image who do not deserve this inhuman treatment.
Aliya Rahman was assaulted & violently dragged from her car by immigration agents—& then detained without access to medical care. Despite the severe physical & mental toll, she is unafraid to demand accountability.
This Administration is robbing our country of its humanity.
Yesterday, we heard from the brothers of Renee Nicole Good, who was murdered just a few weeks ago, and from Marimar Martinez, Aliya Rahman, and Daniel Rascon, who were shot, brutalized, and detained by ICE and DHS. These are not isolated incidents. This is Administration policy. And, it must stop now.
Arc de Trump or Arch de Narcissism?
This isn’t about history or patriotism. It’s a psychological tell. A president so insecure and obsessed with himself that he needs monuments, and gold trim in order to feel like a king instead of a democratic leader. And we’re forced to watch him spiral in real time.
BREAKING: The Kennedy family torches Trump for shutting down the Kennedy Center for two years for supposed "renovations" after major artists refused to preform for him.
This is absolutely humiliating for MAGA...
"Trump can take the Kennedy Center for himself. He can change the name, shut the doors, and demolish the building," Jack Schlossberg, JFK's grandson, wrote on X. "He can try to kill JFK. But JFK is kept alive by us now rising up to remove Donald Trump, bring him to justice, and restore the freedoms generations fought for."
Over the weekend, Trump announced on Truth Social that the Kennedy Center (which he still ludicrously insists on calling the "Trump Kennedy Center") will be closed for an "approximately two year period of time" so that it can achieve the "highest level of Success, Beauty, and Grandeur" through "Construction, Revitalization, and Complete Rebuilding."
While it's not surprising that Trump wants to make over the center to bring it into alignment with the tacky, gaudy, gilded, hideous aesthetic that he slaps on everything, the closure serves the more important purpose of mitigating embarrassment over the ongoing refusal by major artists to perform under his tenure.
A long string of prominent figures, ranging from Lin-Manuel Miranda to composer Phillip Glass, have pulled out of appearances at the Kennedy Center. Nobody with taste or a functioning moral compass wants to be associated with this administration. Rather than admit that they're incapable of booking anyone worthwhile, Trump has decided to force the institution into a hiatus.
JFK's niece Maria Shriver suggested as much—
"Translation: It has been brought to my attention that due to the name change (but nobody’s telling me it’s due to the name change), but it’s been brought to my attention that entertainers are canceling left and right, and I have determined that since the name change no one wants to perform there any longer," she wrote on X in response to a screenshot of Trump's Truth Social post. "I’ve determined that due to this change in schedule, it’s best for me to close this center down and rebuild a new center that will bear my name, which will surely get everybody to stop talking about the fact that everybody’s canceling… right?"
Former Congressman Joe Kennedy III, a grandson of RFK, also weighed in—
“President John F. Kennedy believed that one day this country would live up to its promise of justice and equal rights for all,” he wrote on X. “For those beliefs and for his sacrifice, Congress voted to make The Kennedy Center a living memorial to him, as a place built by the people for the people to celebrate what connects us."
"While this trespass on the People’s will is painful, President Kennedy would remind us that it is not buildings that define the greatness of a nation. It is the actions of its people and its leaders," he continued. "So, do not be distracted from what this Administration is actually trying to erase: our connection, our community, and our commitment to the rights of all."
The encouraging truth here is that the American people and common decency will win in the end. The moment that Trump is out of power we'll strike his name from everything that he's tacked it onto. He's grasping for a legacy that will blow away in the wind within a matter of years.
